It was also speculated from recent reports that Boruto, son of Naruto would be the next generation for Naruto Shippuden franchise. Although the release is not yet confirmed, speculation states that the Boruto arc will be released mid-year of 2017.
Rumors state that Naruto will be abducted, due to a new Great Ninja War and Boruto will be Naruto's Saviour. Boruto will then discover his strengths and capabilities to save his village and his family.
Limited information is being circulated on the internet regarding the Boruto Arc. It is not yet confirmed, and are merely rumors. Since the manga series for Boruto is not yet done according to naruto-wiki, the Naruto Shippuden will be creating fillers for the upcoming major arc in the Naruto franchise which is the Boruto Arc.
